步骤一：找主干

该句是一个并列复合句，句子的主干为一个并列结构，即：

“These researchers note …, and they argue …”

这两个并列句中的宾语均由 that 引导的从句来充当；第二个宾语从句中还有一个if 引导的从句，充当 these individuals would have apparent memory deficits 的条件，是一个条件状语从句。
